"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one."
— C.S. Lewis
"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."
— C.S. Lewis
"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself."
— C.S. Lewis (Mere Christianity)
"We are not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be."
— C.S. Lewis
"A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word "darkness" on the walls of his cell."
— C.S. Lewis
"I pray because I can't help myself. I pray because I'm helpless. I pray because the need flows out of me all the time- waking and sleeping. It doesn't change God- it changes me."
— C.S. Lewis
I love the first one about friendship. So funny

I have had my fill of Disneyland for the month.
I went to Disneyland last Monday, Friday Saturday and Sunday and today. Monday I went with Adrienne, Friday, Saturday and Sunday I went for my niece, and today I went for Leon's birthday. I don't want to go to Disneyland for the rest of the month.
The highlight tonight was a conversation I had with Reinna N. We were walking to our cars, and out of nowhere she says to me, "I wish Mattel would sell the hoverboards!" I said "Yeah if they were real" Then she goes on and starts to tell me that the hoverboards are real, they are just too dangerous to ride, and in the movie, they put the wires on the hoverboards for safety. I really couldn't believe what I was hearing! I was laughing and she was laughing, but she was serious too. REALLY SERIOUS! I miss my conversations with Reinna, She is way too funny at times.
Keep believing in them hoverboards Reinna, they will be real... one day, just not now.

My Niece

My niece Ava performed in Disneyland's Christmas Day Parade, which was recorded for Christmas Day Special on ABC. No I've never seen her dance before, because all her performances are up north. My parents have seen her, but I haven't. So when I saw her dance, I was amazed. I don't know if its because she's my niece, and she the youngest at six years old (soon to be seven years old) out of my nieces and nephew, but I was so proud! I have never spent so much time at Disneyland. All day on Friday, all day on Saturday, and a few hours on Sunday. By Sunday, I just waited around, and didn't ride attractions much. But it was worth it to see my niece dance.

Book Update
I've been reading, but I haven't been able to update my book reading on this blog. So here you go. I wasn't able to read as much as I wanted because during this time, I had to clean the backyard for a party, which involved disposing a eight person spa. We finally finished with the final dumpster of trash on Monday the 26th. Also other things like a Disneyland Trip, getting my haircut, etc etc etc...
Books I've read
Solar Lottery by Philip K. Dick (His first book he wrote, and it was pretty good)
The Giver by Lois Lowery (not as good as I thought it would be, but people liked it)
The Road by Cormac McCarthy (a good book, I wonder how it won the Pulitzer Prize because I thought all the pretty horses was stronger. The Road reminded me of Lone Wolf and Cub manga series, only that the road took place in the future wile Lone Wolf and Cub took place in feudal Japan)
A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby (not as good as his other books)
Xenocide Book Three of the Ender's Saga by Orson Scott Card (Slow at the beginning, could have been edited down a little more, but overall good)
The Innocent by Harlan Coben (one of his weaker books in my opinion)
100 Bullets Vol 11 by Brian Azzarello & Eduardo Risso (Crime Noir. People die again, story advances, good graphic novel)
100 Bullets Vol 12 by Brian Azzarello & Eduardo Risso (Crime Noir. More people die again, story advances, good G.N.)
100 Bullets Vol 13 by Brian Azzarello & Eduardo Risso (Crime Noir, Even more people die, story ends, great series)
Currently reading
The Icewind Dale Trilogy by R.A. Salvatore
The Crystal Shard (Finished this one, almost all setup for future books, but 5 stars so far)
Streams of Silver
The Halflings Gem
Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein
Children of the Mind, The conclusion to the Ender's Saga (book four) by Orson Scott Card

My Dad and Movies
Well this goes for anything that is a moving picture. My father narrates the whole film or TV show. It's amazing, it never fails. He'll tell you what just happened on the screen like you didn't see it for yourself. My mother and father were watching a movie a couple days ago, and that's exactly what was happening. When he watches Mythbusters, he narrates the whole thing.
That is why I don't watch anything with him.

U2 Concert
WOW that was amazing. The Rosebowl was filled with 96,000 people and it was something else. The Black Eyed Peas opened for U2, and they did a really good job. Slash came out and Fergie sang sweet child of mine which was pretty awesome.
U2's stage was humongous. It was a concert and a light show. I don't know what else to say. It was an awesome experience. I'm super tired, but I just wanted to write this entry.
EDIT:: adding pictures of the concert.

Here is the actual concert they broadcast on youtube.

Questlove
"We're the last group making art records on a major label for rappers. If there's a world for Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell -- prestige artists under rock monikers -- then those same standards should apply to us as well," he says. "Hip-hop acts should be able to put out art records without having to worry about putting their lives on the line or not releasing anything unless they don't sell millions." --Questlove (From the hip-hop band The Roots)
